BIOGRAPHY

Lantian Ye is a visual artist who lives in Flower Mound, Texas. She states, “My goal is to combine space, color, light, and darkness to form images that create a visual and emotional experience for the viewer.”

 

As a child growing up in Ningbo, China, Lantian displayed an obvious talent for drawing and finally convinced her mother to allow her to take her first drawing and painting class at the age of 12. After taking the initial class, Lantian continued to take drawing and painting classes during the summers. Once Lantian came to the United States to attend high school, she took painting and drawing classes as part of her regular school curriculum, rather than just during the summers.

Lantian is currently in her final semester as an honor student in the Studio Art: Drawing and Painting program in the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas. She was formally admitted to the Studio Art program during the Spring 2022 semester. Lantian is skilled in multiple mediums which include charcoal and pencil drawing, acrylic, new media, digital art, and digital photography.
